About our products
Powdered Metal (P/M) technology is being utilized for thousands of different designs. Many people only think of bearings when referring to P/M. However more and more companies are using the P/M process to manufacture structural parts. P/M can offer many benefits including:
Substantial Cost Savings
In many instances a part can be made using P/M at a fraction of the cost of casting or machining. Manufacturing parts from P/M often reduces secondary machining operations.
Quality
P/M processes offer a high degree of precision and repeatability. Close tolerances can be held with excellent consistency every production run.
Flexibility
P/M offers many material options. Stainless steel, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous parts can be oil impregnated or resign impregnated to seal porosity. P/M parts are often heat treated for increased strength and plated or steam treated to increase corrosion resistance.
